Peter Hominuk
Executive Director
Executive Director
Peter Hominuk is an exceptional community champion dedicated to the flourishing of French-speaking Ontario. His professional career as well as his volunteer activities bear witness to his attachment to his language and his pride in his franco-Ontarian origins and his contributions to the development of the francophone community. He has contributed in an exemplary fashion to various community organizations to aid in their development. Mr. Hominuk transformed the francophone community organization, La Clé d’la Baie, into a dynamic social enterprise that facilitated French language services in the arts, culture, community radio, tourism, employment and training, daycare and summer camp sectors.
At l’Assemblée de la francophonie de l’Ontario, he oversaw the revision of two community strategic plans: restructuring of the governance of the organization, the implementation of sector and regional round tables and the development of white papers advocating for community interest on the topics of Health, Arts and Culture, Immigration and Media. In 2015, Mr. Hominuk contributed his guidance behind the scenes to support the mobilization of francophone communities across the province during the celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the French presence in Ontario.
The contributions of Mr. Hominuk are noteworthy in francophone Ontario due to his solid leadership, executed with conviction and determination. A man with a contagious and gentle smile, he is always in service to the growth and sustainability of our language and culture in all its diversity!
